Monthly Lifestyle Favourites: August!

Another month, another list of ol' favourites. This months delivery is a little off schedule due to a hectic week of redecorating the house amidst a rather large IKEA haul - this involved me in a van driving to Lakeside, an experience! -  but we're here now! So, without further ado...

As you may know, basic t-shirts are usually a part of my daily uniform. They are super easy to style, whilst still looking put together. So, I've restocked on a couple of colours this month from my usual pick up point - Topshop - and the new season cuts they have brought out are super flattering! The sleeve length is slightly longer, which I really enjoy, and the pocket detail takes it a step further from being a plain tee. I've already purchased navy and grey, but white might have to happen...

When it comes to jewellery, I'm usually known for being the girl with a lot of rings - not quite Phoebe Buffay, but close - but when I was browsing in an &OtherStories at the beginning of the month I spotted this bracelet and was just like "YES". It is enough of a statement worn on it's own, even though it is dainty in size, but also looks a dream when paired with my Cluse watch[I couldn't find the bracelet online to link up, sorry ladies!]

I LOVE a good book to get stuck into, especially as winter draws in (Sorry!) and you can curl up on the sofa- Mmmm. Anyway, I've been through the usual blogger favourites like my girl Lena and Leandra Medine and last month Miranda July hit my radar in Estée's monthly favourites. After her boyfriend, Aslan bought and read the book in less than two days stating it was going in his top 10 favourite books of all time, I knew I had to pick up a copy! I don't want to give anything away, besides the fact it is very hard to explain to anyone who hasn't already read it. But I guess in it's most basic form it could be considered an unorthodox [love?] story from the POV of a ever so slightly unsettled woman. The antagonists inner monologue; honest, strange and human - bound. It is certainly a page turner!

A new lip favourite this month from Revlon because I got sucked into boots and their 2 for £10 offers. I'm a huge fan of the Revlon lip ranges, especially their lip butter in 'Berry Smoothie', but this time I picked up a superlustrious lipstick in the shade 'Lovers Coral'. Looking at the bullet, the colour is quite orange in tone, but once applied looks much more pinky peach - perfect for an everyday lip when I want to branch out from the 'my lips but better' nudes. The application is sheer, but super buildable to get a great colour pay off.
