The Burger Joint Hitlist

With every trip to London, Adam and I usually (correction - always) consume a burger. It's a weakness. We don't make the trip to London too often, but we've compiled a solid list of burger joints to hit when we're about - and I'm enjoying every messy bite full. My usual order of a Bacon Cheeseburger, Sweet Potato Fries, BBQ Sauce and a Diet Coke wouldn't go a miss right now...

HITLIST:
What's up...
  • Byron Burger. One of my first London burger experiences - great for the all american indulgence. In the picture above (bottom right) Adam and I went all out. That side of mac&cheese was crazy good.
  • Gourmet Burger Kitchen. A great all rounder. Juicy meat, great filling options, and an awesome baconnaise dipping sauce. You can even add an extra patty if you're up to the challenge ;) #doublestack
  • Patty & Bun. The best damn burger that has passed these lips. The glazed bun, the juicy burger and super fresh flavour. Plus the atmosphere of the joint was really inviting and upbeat.
  • Five Guys. This didn't hit the spot for me. I was ravenous (like most of the day, lets be honest here) after skipping dinner and I needed a quick filler. Fill me, it did, but the taste just wasn't there for me. Afterwards I felt that shred of guilt, like I'd eaten a dirty McDonalds. I hate to put a downer on my burger loving, but this was a miss for me.

What's next...

Any goodness I'm missing out on? Share! A girls gotta eat...

  1. I've heard a lot of people raving about Five Guys but I'm yet to try it. I think I have to but I'm worried it's going to be a disappointment now. I love burgers, so I definitely need to try Patty & Bun on my next London visit. I really like GBK and their bacon and avocado burger. So good!

  2. I'd heard great things too! Maybe it's just me and I'm fussy? The restaurant was packed full, so don't let me stop you! Patty & Bun was the best burger I've ever eaten - and that's a big statement! x

The Joint is good but it's like pulled chicken/pork/beef brisket burgers, killer onion rings too. Some pictures on my blog :)
