Norwich Fashion Week

With the commotion of LFW at a close, it's time for Norwich to show you what we've got! Independent retailers from the Norwich Lanes, and high street stores alike, took to the Catwalk on Thursday evening to kick off Norwich Fashion Week - and I was lucky enough to have a 2nd row seat. I was kindly invited down to experience the show first hand a few months back, so I've been enjoying the build up via Twitter and Instagram, in preparation for the big event. My first FW, might I add, and it did not disappoint. I had an awesome night!

The evening started off with a Coffee Cocktail (yes, they exist!) from the guys at Grey Seal Coffee - an acquired taste for a lady that doesn't tend to consume coffee - and a chit chat in the VIP area with a few familiar faces, as well as meeting some new lovely ladies! It's so humbling to have the opportunity to  meet bloggers and creatives from my home town, especially at Fashion Week. So, to the catwalk >>>

The Catwalk was split into 2 sets and looked a little something like this -

SET 1
John Lewis Womenswear
Vanilla
Jonathon Trumbull
M&S Womenswear
Scarlet
Jarrolds Menswear
Ginger
Elements
Gallyons Womenswear
House of Fraser Menswear

SET 2
John Lewis Menswear
The Norfolk Boutique
House of Fraser Womenswear
Gallyons Menswear
Winsor Bishop
Hatter
Aluna J
M&S Menswear
Jarrolds Womenswear

I got a little caught up in the moment so didn't manage as many shots as I'd liked! (as well as having my camera on the wrong setting?? - doh!) But I do have a little video of the end run, so if I can figure out how to work blogger video then I'll add that in to this post a little later! Technology, man.
Anyway, What caught my eye? (Apart from the bearded men in winter woollens? ;)The tweed full length coat from Gallyons Womenswear. I'm not sure if I'm quite there yet - in being able to pull off a full length tweed - but there are many ways this piece could be styled. Also, the culotte jumpsuit from Vanilla is an item that I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of this Summer - or Spring if you're brave enough to bare some leg...

Shout out to the guys at Norwich Fashion Week for inviting me along - I had a blast.
